L02/LEGAL · TERMS
LAST UPDATED · 26 MAY 2026

Plain rules.

By signing up to the waitlist or using Relay once it launches, you agree to these terms. We've written them in English, not legalese. If anything is unclear, email legal@userelay.com.au.

1. Who's bound by these terms

These terms form an agreement between you (the individual using Relay) and Relay Pty Ltd (the Australian company that operates the service).

If you're using Relay on behalf of your employer or another organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. The waitlist phase

Relay is currently in private waitlist phase. Submitting the early-access form does not guarantee access to the product. We select cohorts based on use-case fit and onboarding capacity.

Waitlist submissions are non-binding for both parties. You can withdraw at any time by emailing privacy@userelay.com.au. We can decline to grant access without explanation.

3. Using Relay once you're a customer

You may use Relay to transcribe, classify, and act on the phone calls of users at your organisation who have consented to call recording per the laws of their jurisdiction.

You must not use Relay to: record calls without legally required consent; process calls of individuals you are not authorised to record; reverse-engineer the service; resell the service or its outputs to third parties; or build a competing product using the service.

4. Your data is your data

You retain all rights to the calls, transcripts, extracted values, and workflow outputs that pass through Relay. We process them on your behalf to deliver the service. We will never claim ownership of your data and we will never use it to train external AI models.

We grant ourselves a limited licence to process your data only as needed to operate the service for you. That licence ends when you cancel.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Relay to:

  • Break any law, including telecommunications, privacy, or consumer-protection law in the jurisdictions your reps operate in.
  • Record or process calls without all parties' consent where consent is legally required.
  • Send spam, phishing, harassing, or fraudulent communications via the workflows you configure.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any of our systems without our written permission.
  • Interfere with the service for other customers.

Material breaches of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination.

6. Service availability

Relay is a hosted service. We aim for high availability but don't commit to a specific SLA during the early-access phase. We'll publish a status page and email customers about prolonged incidents.

We may make changes to the service from time to time (new features, deprecations, integration changes). Material deprecations affecting your workflows will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

7. Pricing & billing

Pricing during the early-access phase is set by individual agreement with each customer (founding-cohort pricing). Once general availability launches, pricing will be published on our pricing page.

Invoicing is monthly in arrears unless otherwise agreed. Late payment may result in service suspension after 30 days' notice.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time by emailing your account manager or hello@userelay.com.au. Service continues until the end of the current billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation so you can export, then hard-deleted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Relay's liability to you for any loss arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or revenue, even if advised of the possibility.

Nothing in these terms excludes any warranty, guarantee, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes will be heard in the courts of QLD.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll post material updates here and email active customers at least 30 days before changes take effect. Continuing to use Relay after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
